Basic Prequisites to Become a Private Pilot
Age - You can begin Flight Training at any age. However, the FAA requires you to be 16 years of age to conduct solo flight and 17 years old to obtain a Private Pilot License.
Physical Condition - You must be able to pass a simple FAA physical conducted by an authorized FAA Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).
Communication Skills - You must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English Language, the international standard for aviation communications.
Personal Origin - You must be a Citizen of the United States or meet specific stringent criteria for Foreign Nationals.
