A Little History:
Curtis and Ruby Eads started their flight school in 1955 as a family business at what then was called the Portsmouth Airport (now Hampton Roads Executive Airport (KPVG)).
They were are remarkable couple who taught hundeds to fly (including their son Curtis Jr. "Butch") from 1955 until Curtis' passing in 2001. Ruby continued their business until her passing in 2006. The Eads family were favorably well known to the FAA and General Aviation community all over the region.
Curtis was honored by induction into the Virginia Aeronautical History Society in 1996.
We of Aerofeather Aviation Inc., as a subsequent owner/operator of Curtis Eads Flight School relocated this business to Suffolk Executive Airport (KSFQ) on 1-Jan-2018 and continue to honor the legacy of the Eads name and reputation for quality aircraft and structured flight training from primary to instrument/commerical/CFI/CFII/ATP ratings in both SEL and MEL aircraft.
Proceeding Forward:
While "Giving Wings to Your Dreams" since 1955 our continuing goal is to provide Safe, Legal and Mission Ready Aircraft with Competent Instructors.
We teach english proficient American Citizens to fundamentally fly safely and how to travel and integrate into the National Airspace System.
The question remains: Do you see yourself as a safe, qualified pilot? It requires your disiplined commitment to learn from experienced instructors and remain proficient.
The next question will be evaluated: Do we at CEFS see you as a safe qualifed pilot? Be prepared to progress and continually function at the top of your appropriate level of knowledge and skill.
