Other Requirements
Let's Proceed
So, you've taken a discovery flight and had the time of your life. You've crunched the numbers and don't foresee any medical issue that would stand in the way and made the decision to pursue your pilots license. Now what?
First - schedule your first lesson. You should call Curtis Eads to schedule your first lesson. You will spend about one hour with your instructor taking care of paperwork and getting organized then you will take to the skies. You will fly once or twice each week with a little ground training before each flight while you begin to study between lessons.
After about 16 hours of flying you will be ready to solo. After your solo you will continue with flight training with some solo flights included too.
About two-thirds thru your training you should be ready to take your written FAA test.
Once you have completed your training you will be ready to take your check-ride with an FAA examiner. Once you pass your check-ride you will be a pilot.
